This week’s episode was very special for us because we got to work on Mark Long’s treasured collection of historic photographs that were donated to him over 20 years ago. The collection came from a local photo studio ran by photographer M.H. Heiselt during the late teens & early 1920’s in American Fork, Utah called U Need A Photo. As we worked through the photographs we were struck with how they captured this time so beautifully from sweet chubby babies and family photos in period clothing to capturing wonderful moments in local history like the American Fork High School picking apples at an orchard to benefit World War I. Mark was very pleased with Kathy’s restoration work and especially surprised with a colorized version of his favorite photo! Mark plans on starting a Kickstarter campaign so that the photographs can be published in a coffee table book for more to enjoy!
