Restore.tv Season 1 – Episode 16: “The Griffith Family”

In this Restore.tv episode Cathryn Froehlich visited us with a very special photo of her family that was in need of restoration. This family photo was taken in a very happy time in the Griffith family, Cathryn’s dad had just returned from World War 2 looking very handsome in uniform! With his arm around his beautiful young wife Nomel, Orland is also pictured with his father, mother and sister.

Cathryn retold us some very memorable stories of her dad, he was very easy going, good humor and he loved to cook. In fact Cathryn says that because of his skills that was how she and her sister learned to love vegetables. When they would come home from school hungry as could be their father would have a pot of stew full of vegetables waiting for them. If they could name all the vegetables in the stew they could earn a quarter each. Cathryn said they were never able to identify all the vegetables because their dad was always adding new ones for them to try in. Cathryn loved the restoration of this treasured family photo and plans to send a copy to her sister in California, one for Cathryn’s son and also to have to keep for herself.
